I've figured it all out!
Okay, this is what's really happening....Paul Martin promised to call an election within thirty days of the second Gomery report in February. Jack Layton, Stephen Harper and company want to pass a resolution stating that the government should dissolve in early January. This is not binding, but they're hoping the Liberals will abide by it. If they do, then the opposition will campaign on how the Liberals broke their promise to wait until after the second report! It must be true! It's so crazy it could work!
